Joy To The World

Hello folks...have you missed me?  I've been away for a few days....hubby had some heart issues and had to be transported by EMS to the emergency room on Thursday night.  He was admitted after a very thorough examination and some blood work so we have been "hold up" at CMC-Northeast in Concord for the past few days.  He was discharged this morning and is doing well.  His problem seems to be under control and we are grateful to everyone involved in getting things under control.  So, on to my card today, or rather my tag....it is for the Our Daily Bread Designs challenge this week to be inspired by song or music....ODBDSLC177.  So, after being chosen randomly for the $15 gift certificate at ODBD last week I couldn't wait to chose a few special stamp sets.  This Holly Tag Set is one of the ones I chose....I love it and I always enjoy making my own tags every Christmas.  My tag base is GinaK Pure Luxury...I stamped the tag image from the Holly Tag Set with Dew Drop Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme.  I then colored in the berries with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I added Diamod Stickles to the berries, although it is hard to photograph that aspect to where it will show up well.  I then chose the "Joy to the World" stamp from the Holly Tag Set as my inspiration song and that, too, is stamped in the Pearlescent Thyme.  I cut some red grosgrain ribbon and pulled it through the tag hole and added a star brad.  I found some paper poinsettias from Making Memories that I have had forever and thought one would be perfect to accent the tag.  I sure hope you like it....I had fun making it.  I am so glad to be home and able to do some stamping again....I missed it the few days I was at the hospital with the hubs.  Thanks for checking in....be back soon..
